Sustainable Healthcare
In the Netherlands, the healthcare sector is responsible for approximately 7% of the national CO2 footprint. Additionally, 4% of waste and 13% of resource use (metals and minerals) are attributed to healthcare. Therefore, the healthcare sector aims for 'sustainable care,' which means green and climate-neutral care with minimal greenhouse gas emissions and impact on the living environment.
