Transport

At Brocacef Group, we use both large transport vehicles and small delivery vans. In the fiscal year 2024-2025, 40% of our delivery vans were electric. With these vans, we drove 772,358 kilometres. Compared to gasoline vans, this resulted in a saving of 96,545 kilos of CO2. Additionally, delivery has been centralised in several cities. This means that not every pharmacy handles its own deliveries, but they are managed from a HUB, allowing for more efficient routes.

In bulk transport, the transition to electric vehicles remains a challenge due to the longer distances required for this type of transport and the availability of vehicles with the appropriate range. We will continue to monitor developments within the heavy haulage market.

In the Rotterdam area, we have clustered deliveries and started driving increasingly efficient routes. Additionally, in 2024, we were able to replace diesel vans with electric ones.
