Sponsorship activities

Main sponsor of the Young Pharmacists Association
Brocacef Group supports the Young Pharmacists Association because we believe in the strength of young, innovative professionals in the pharmaceutical sector. Through our sponsorship, we contribute to their professional development and encourage initiatives that help move the sector forward.
As a main sponsor, we provide financial support and participate in events such as member meetings and workshops. This gives us the opportunity to engage directly with young pharmacists and inspire them with our vision on topics including sustainability, inclusion and diversity. Moreover, our sponsorship enables us to make a positive impact on the future leaders of the pharmaceutical sector, particularly in community pharmacies.
Main sponsor of Skills Heroes
BENU Netherlands has been a proud main sponsor of the Skills Heroes competitions since 2018, the largest vocational skills event in the Netherlands. More than 600 MBO and VMBO students compete for the title of ‘Dutch Champion’ in their field.
As one of the largest employers in the Dutch healthcare sector, we believe it is important that students are proud of the profession they are training for and have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. A competition like this contributes to that. By being a main sponsor of this competition, we demonstrate that BENU is an attractive employer. This partnership also strengthens our relationships with the more than 20 participating Regional Training Centres (ROCs).
Our pharmacy assistants and pharmacists help develop the competition assignments, serve on the jury and provide a workshop for the finalists to prepare them for the final.

Brocacef contributes to pharmaceutical care in Ghana
Brocacef Group supports activities not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad. For example, we sponsor an educational programme in Ghana that enables six students to complete the full pharmacy assistant training programme at the Health Access Institute (HAI), the country’s leading pharmaceutical training institute.
Although Ghana has a sufficient number of pharmacists, there is a significant shortage of well-trained pharmacy staff. Pharmacy assistant training in Ghana is intensive and costly, which often means that students have to work alongside their studies, sometimes full-time. This increases the risk of study delays or even dropping out. Thanks to Brocacef Group’s donation, this can be prevented and six students can pursue their dream without financial worries. By supporting them, we are investing in their future as well as the future of pharmaceutical care worldwide.

Tour de BENU
On Saturday 6 September 2025, the sixth edition of the Tour de BENU took place. A large group of colleagues, together with Brocacef Group customers and business partners, cycled an 80-kilometre route in support of the Leontienhuis Foundation. In addition to organising the event, a donation was made to the foundation. Participants could also take part in a raffle, with the proceeds also benefiting the Leontienhuis Foundation.

Laptops for charity
Old laptops are phased out and disposed of through ITdonations, with their residual value donated to charity.
